Science 101...or should I call it Photography 101 ??

Will ya look at these shots! Rick watched a birds nest on our deck all spring and took pictures throughout their stay. These turned out fanTAStic, didn't they? It's interesting how there are two different types of eggs in the same nest. Be sure to double click on these pictures so you can see the babies waiting for food, how cute! One guy's arm/fingers looks like Edward Scissorhands.

It's HUMP Day.....

and I'm glad for that. It's been beautiful out, nice and hot, sunny all around. The birds are loving it and so are the flowers. I took some pics of my flowers around the yard...I couldn't resist chronicling them.

Last weekend Rick went away, Deb came over and we had a great evening together, great food and great chats :-) We made marinated lamb, salad in Parmesan cheese bowls and gee, I think that's all we had! Til we brought out our own individual Ben and Jerry's ice cream containers! Deb had Tortoise Soup and I had Chunky Monkey, neither of us could finish it but it was fun. We lit the fireplace inside because it was freezing out Saturday night.
Sunday we went over to my girlfriend's Claudia's to make a scrapping project, mine isn't finished so I won't show pictures yet...met up with Jenn, Bev, Amanda there...they loved Deb, it was such a fun afternoon :-) I've stole some pics from Amanda's blog and posted them here.

I've been working this week, my work piles up and I get behind when I take a day or two off here and there... Got plans to redo the brick edging around my garden this weekend and Rick is very anxious to finish the deck. It's been dragging on and he doesn't like that.
Cheerio for now!

"waiting for spring to come"

Spring has sprung finally!

I walked around the house yesterday after work and look what I saw! I was so surprised because these flowers weren't here the day before. I love this time of year.

Lots of things going on here in Wellesley lately. I'm working like mad on tax files, I want to keep up although it's hard to do when I'm the only worker :-0 My tailbone becomes very very sore when I sit for long periods of time but I have to get through it. I have the MRI that was scheduled in 2006 coming up in May.

Layla is good, cute as a button. We take pictures each time we see her and ohmigawd, she gets more beautiful each day. And she loves sleeping in my arms. Rick just wants to gobble her up.

Spring makes my mind go crazy...I want to do so much...move the bbq, which means getting the gas man in, cleaning all the gardens...I have over 500 feet of garden so that's a huge job, wash all the windows, this house is a cape cod style with windows all around, so that's a big job...wash the siding, it's a light cream colour so that's a big job....are there any volunteer helpers out there? We serve beer :-) and food too :-)

Been real busy with getting ready for two scrapbooking retreats in April, another reason why I have to keep up with my tax files. Looking forward to both of those as is Rick to get the house to himself without the List Lady following him around. Heehee...

Well I won't make this too long, I tend to do that because I don't update very often....I'll get on that too.

Happy Spring everyone!!!

This hangs outside our front door, over our porch!

The wind it was howlin' and the snow was outrageous

Today was a snow day! We got over a foot of snow. It was really coming down, I couldn't see the house across the street off and on all day. I got some pictures of Rick snowblowing the driveway, he looks like the abdominal snowman! If I can figure out how to include photos in a post, I'll come back and add them here.

I cleaned up the kitchen, well the pile of papers that gathers and was a foot or so deep today, put recipes away and sorted out coupons. Did the laundry, you know, the ususal housework. We had spaghetti and meat balls for dinner and then off to relax. I had a fire going all day, decided not to plop in front of the tv tonight but instead enjoy the fire with a blanket and magazine, candles burning everywhere.

We're having company tomorrow for the day, my niece and sisterinlaw are coming out for a visit. It will be my sisterinlaws first time here! Rick has to work in the morning but shouldn't be too late to miss the fun. Hope the roads are ok to travel on tomorrow.

Cya!
